San Diego as Major Tech Hub !!!!!!

"We have been tracking San Diego's high-tech industry for quite some time and the industry remains strong. San Diego has nearly 100,000 tech workers who earn an average annual wage of $85,200, which is more than twice as much as the average private sector worker in San Diego, according to our California Cybercities 2006 report. With nearly 4,300 high-tech establishments, 1 out of every 10 private sectors workers are employed by a technology company, representing the second highest concentration of technology workers in the state, only Silicon Valley is higher. Given this, it is no surprise to us that San Diego ranks in the state's top five metropolitan areas by employment in 14 of the 16 high-tech industry sectors, and it is the state's industry leader in R&D and testing labs with over 25,000 employees and in consumer electronics manufacturing with 3,300 employees. "

Precision Engine Controls Testimonial

"AeA has a been a wonderful association for Precision Engine Controls to become involved with. We joined in early 2005 and have become very involved in the last two years. We have many of the functional managers and professional employees attending several events per year pertaining to their areas of responsibility - Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Finance and of course the CEO roundtables have been invaluable to me. Being a current chair of one of the CEO roundtables and being able to participate on the executive committee has given me insight to many areas of business and politics that I otherwise would not have had. It has made me aware of issues and the fact that being more involved in associations such as this actually does allow you to have more influence on things in the business arena and it gives you the ability make a positive difference".

Hardy Instruments Testimonial

"Anyone who thinks you reach a point in your career where you know it all, is mislead. The world is constantly changing and we must adapt and continue to learn. For many of my officers, key managers and professionals, learning comes in the form of networking with like professionals in other companies. A great forum for such networking are the AeA functional round tables and the relationships established with other participants. Just the week we helped another company with ideas about a bonus program for their employees. These AeA round tables are focused on value added and not in getting your name on a call list for consultants."

Powergenix Testimonial

"The original reason why we joined AeA was to take advantage of an excellent medical insurance program available only to AeA members. Once we joined the AeA, we started participating in roundtables such as the CEO Roundtable and the HR Roundtable, both of which have helped us deal with specific issues and have enabled us to form valuable relationships with industry peers. The thousands of dollars we save each year combined with the network of resources now available to us makes the membership fee the best bargain around."
